Science of Economic Growth

Over 170 leaders from higher education, policy, and industry gathered to discuss the economic impact of federal investments in scientific research at American colleges and universities.    

House Science, Space, and Technology Committee Chair Brian Babin (R-TX) and Space and Aeronautics Subcommittee Chair Mike Haridopolos (R-FL) delivered remarks emphasizing the importance of sustained federal support for scientific research as a driver of economic growth and national competitiveness.

Ten TSC member institutions showcased companies, technological breakthroughs, and research that are strengthening the economy and have emerged from federally funded research at American colleges and universities.
