WASHINGTON – The Science Coalition (TSC) released the following statement after Dr. Eric Lander was confirmed as the Director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP):

Having spent his career at the intersection of university research and federal policymaking, we are confident Dr. Lander will ensure science is integrated into each policy consideration and serve as a steadfast advocate for a robust research enterprise.

“At this pivotal moment for our nation, Dr. Lander’s unique understanding of the value of federally funded fundamental research and its immense return on investment will be key to driving innovation, combating the pressing issues of our time, and building economic resiliency.
